HTC One X / One S / One V Owners Thread

dataloaddataload

Do we have a HTC One owners thread yet?

Anyway, possibly wont get much interest here but it appears some people in the UK have received these phones already, most of us will have to wait until the end of this week/early next week to pick one up or have one delivered

Anyone got one yet or had a play with one?
Is it as awesome as people think?
Which model and colour did you order?
How much are you paying?
Anyone actually ordered the One V?
Are you waiting to see what the s3 is like before buying?

I'm waiting on the One S in black, o2 upgrade through dialaphone/phones4u, i called to cancel and go with mobilephones.net for £27/m for the same package apart from the free media link and phones4u offered me £100 to keep the order, making it just over £27 the same as mobilephones but i get the media link free

£32/m 300 mins, unlimited txts, 500mb data, free HTC Media Link, free phone and £100 cheque a couple of weeks after delivery

I'm sure I read somewhere that all three of these phone have no additional memory facility, so whatever internal memory they come with, be it 16gb or 32gb (depending on the model) that's what you are stuck with.

Seems a strange move for HTC as they have made some pretty good phones recently. And these three look pretty good phones apart from the memory restriction.

this is true but you get 25gb free dropbox storage for 2 years which is a bonus, took me two years to fill my desires 8gb card as i never use it for music, so the lack of sd doesn't bother me too much, still stupid to leave it out though

no access to battery? no sd expansion... where are HTC going with this... sounds like apple.

hopefully those two niggles will be ironed out with an amazing all round phone.

reading this made me feel slighty better about the battery

    Battery:

    * “We hit just over eight and a half hours of constant video playback during our typical rundown test — 2.5 hours more than its sibling, the HTC One X”
    * “Even with a 40-minute photography session included, the One S managed to go a full 24 hours between charges for me”
    * “I’ve found the phone to be a pretty solid performer in terms of real world battery use.”

Yeah it is the best Andriod phone on the market atm.

I'm also gonna wait for the S3 as want to try both in the flesh before deciding if i want one of them or if im gonna hold out for the iPhone 5.

Anybody know what contracts O2 is offering for the One S? The contracts for the One X are available at:
    http://shop.o2.co.uk/mobile_phone/pay_monthly/init/HTC/One_X
But nothing about the One S yet.

probably be the same as the one x

best o2 deal i've seen is £27/m for 300 mins, unlimited txts, 500mb internet and £9.99 for the phone, phones4u will match this deal if you ask them and they might still be doing the free media link if you pre order the phone

You think the contract for the One X ill be the same as for the One S? Why? Surely the One X is a higher spec, and therefore more expensive phone.

i've spent a couple of weeks looking over deals for both phones and most places are/were wanting the same price for both, even though the x is slightly more sim free

having just looked to copy the links for you though, phones4u are now wanting £89 for the x where as a couple of days ago it was free the same as the s, i had the one x pre ordered for free but changed my mind and got them to change it to the s

Yeah, I thought there'd be about £100 difference in the two phones, either upfront or over the course of the contract. Can't really shop around tbh, so have to wait and see what O2 offer.
