I only saw the last few minutes of the final programme, so this might not be the answer you are looking for, but if you are asking if they sold more free range chickens, then yes they did. I think it was something like 60% of the 490 fresh chickens sold were free range.

Agreed with the basis of the programme but in a town of 6000 - over a week, 60% free range ????- especially after the hassle he was getting, seemed a little strange. The follow up by jamie Oliver was good last night.

Thought the comments that a free range chicken was 'too expensive' from the geezers in the Pub was a laugh. Have one less pint then!!

I do feed my family free range and organic meat but it is more expensive from the supermarket than from the butcher.Another reason to shop locally ............
The taste is completely different~I think once you have tried free range meat,it's difficult to go back to the cheap stuff but I do appreciate the arguement for families on low income.I am lucky that it is a choice that I can afford to make.
I shall stop banging on now or I'll risk the wrath of piddling people off!!!
