We've all been there. Did a similar thing in Monaco a few years ago! Live and learn and I always look at it as I never had the money so I;m no worse off.
#4

#5

Ouch. I would have taken it straight out and blocked myself.

Gambling awareness lol.

I hope you have now self-excluded yourself from there. Don't do it again, only people who win on those sites are the site owners.

thats the thing i could of took that £438.00 but i decided to gamble it and lost.

Trouble being you never know when winning streak's going to end, always best to bank chunks of money and play with the loose in future,
Still worth a tenner for the adrenalin rush, imo.

nah dont feel sorry for me i have just proved to myself how much of an idiot i can be.

You just can't look at it as what you could have had" else you could have cashed it it, put it into sports arbitrage and doubled it, then again, again and again and you could have been into the thosands.

Just have to count yourself lucky you didn;t have a second go and end up losing money! Easily done.
#19
Or euro millions heh I won £5.40 last week on a £1 ticket
I don't gamble with large amounts of money because as SS* says only the sites that win! no one else unless you know when to stop.

is jackpot joy any good then? Does it accept paypal? I've been using my earnings in paypal account and using it is william hill casino. Haven't done too bad :-)
#21
I went to Bingo on Monday night, because it was a bank holiday they were giving out vouchers for £10 free online.

So I played it on Monday night when I got home, the first £1.50 of my bonus won me £135, I withdrew it cos I know what woulda happened if I didnt.

good on you lol you have more brains than me.
#25
ahhh I have done that, not as much £££. Once you win you want to win more and more.
Try not to think about it, hard I know
#26
You think that's bad, I know someone that has lost £10,000's over the last few years and completely ruined there business because they stopped taking clients etc to concentrate on winning.

This person recenlty won £3,800 and they lost all but £1,500 of it because they thought they could win more.

I told them there's only one winner on these sites and has easily made an overall loss of more than £20,000 but could be mcuh much more and not to mention there business in the process too.

was it deal or no deal slots?

Yep, I called someone for help to stop this person from gambling and they told me throughout the process, they lost their home, his wife and kids left him, all his friends and a lucrative job...all because he couldn't stop gambling and started using the bills and even friends money to keep up his gambling addicts.

In my opinion, gambling is as evil as Crack and they should put in restrictions to prevent people gambling beyond there means.

What if that person believes they don't have a problem and is reluctant to do anything about it and is will to push away everything dear to them because they believe there gamble will pay off?

They're not just gambling money...they're gambling everything.
#35
i won 60quid off £2.50 by guessing the right score last night!

greyparrot how much did you start with? because unless you actually withdraw it you could say you never really had it it was there to be gambled!

Easier said than done...her son quit smoking providing she gave up gambling but she soon started gambling on the sly because they believe they can "feel" they're ready to win big and change their lives forever.

Congrats on quitting for your family, I know that must of been hard but it shows that your family meant more to you than a hunch/hope that you'd win...I know it must of been hard but you realised your mistakes before it was too late.
