*Puts pity box on table*... yesh so my right inner ear was inching so I used my right dingy finger to rub the magical tunnel part, but I bite my nails and so the dingy had a sharp piece on it, which cut all along the magical tunnel part. So I knew I was gonna have a painful ear and so Ive been purring salty water into the magical tunnel part. Although now its clicking and popping like no tomoz! Does this mean I can do that smoking trick were you can blow smoke out of your ear?

Is there any other way to find out if ive popped the bubble rather then seeing my doctor/blowing smoke (I dont smoke =P) for now (states on the internet not to go till milky yummy liquid start purring out... (You guys had your tea yet? =P) So any how... is there a doctor on here?

Didnt understand a word of that, what have you actually been smoking!

i think youve scratched it, be careful as you could get an infection, don,t put any more water in as that won't help.It needs to rest now, it might itch more, you are probably getting over a cold.

The nail has probably irritated the inner ear causing it to swell and giving you grief....

like my doctor said when told him of this ailment...".......dont put anything in your ear thats smaller than your elbow." :?

When he seen the look of :? he then simply said..."..the ear cleanses itself...it doesnt need anything like fingers or cotton buds poking inside to help it. Stop doing it and it wont swell or get irritated."

That was that. He recommended some stuff from the chemist that would alleviate the itching and help the swelling...within a few days it was gone....:)

I think my idea of a magical tunnel is a little different to yours, about a few inches further south in my head. (I don't mean Kent neither)

Yes, that's the reason for the salty water, although if it's already popped I can't put any time of liquid in it even to help it... I have used watered down TCB in the past, maybe that would help... although only a drop.

Yeah i'll "try" to leave it alone... although i've started to hear my own voice through the middle ear so it's as if my eustachian tube is not shutting... it's doing my head it...

Yeah I think i so too.. although it wouldn't have popped my ear drum... humm it did swell for a day. I like inching my ear drum... some people even like their magical tunnel it to be licked  meow.

I just wish when it's fixed it would take my damn tinnitus with it!

It's only painful when infected... that's why i'm not sure if it's popped yet because it's not infected yet, and if I can tell if it's been popped I can protect it from water.... I rather know because protecting it is a pain in the butt!

You're only meant too if it's infected. I'm trying to get info to avoid getting it infected in the first place... last time I had one, it swelled the right side of my face, to where it cut off a nerve on the right side of my face, which made it go all numb (I mean "numb" too) ... I thought I had Bell's palsy.... which sucked.

Whatever is wrong with your ear................

don't put anything in it, salt water, lavender oil etc. Don't

until assessed by nurse / GP, you have no idea what is going on. Even if it is not infection, can be many other problems.

Bells palsy is not due to ear problems.

Where's my merit?
#25
Yeah although the swelling put pressure on a face nerve which coursed totall numbess... so I assumed it was related to bells palsy... ouch
#26
hold your nose then blow through it, air will come out of your ear if its perforated but it will heal itself or on rare occasions a small skin graft is needed
#27
yah read about that... if it's perforated and I do that, won't it make the hole bigger? =P

Hey if there's away to get me around foxy nurses i'm there ;)
