Don;t take things like Nytol, Ive found that if you cant sleep then it only worsens the problem. How about going for a jog or doing some exercise (cardio). That should knacker you out and sleep better.

Totally agree with the above.

Also make sure that you don't actually go to bed until you are tired enough to sleep, if you do you will just lie there for hours which makes the problem worse.

I dont sleep well either, my mum suffers from insomnia and according to my dr its hereditary :-(
I find that a warm bath and a milky drink before bed sometimes helps but if its a long term problem that is starting to affect your concentration during the day maybe a visit to your doctor is in order.

I was insomniac for the better part of three years, finally had to go to the Dr after things started getting a little weird, seems that after 19 years working nights it had finally got to me and sleeping during the day just did not work anymore, changed to a day job and about 6 months later i started sleeping really well, so are there any big factors in your sleep problems?

Look after a couple of kids for the day - I guarantee you'll be cream crackered by about 9pm :-D

Valerian is good - it acts as a natural relaxant, with a sedative effect. I think sleeping better is a happy side-effect. I take that, and a large Southern Comfort before bedtime. Knocks me right out. :)

Is it because you have lots on your mind or worried about something. That's usually the reason I can't sleep.

OP, Hand yourself in to the police , the judge will be more lenient if you do
