Well now it's all over I want a running machine. Where did this come from?

I've even spotted the one I want which is £300. DH says No! We haven't the money or the space.

I feel like a child again - LOL.

Anyone else out there suddenly finding themselves demanding something out of the blue?

Yes this is definately the most simple answer - except for the rain that keeps coming down. I've come down with so many colds over the last 2 years, being caught out in rain showers constantly through the day and night.

Also with the kiddies at home, and DH coming home late from work - I guess I feel there's more chance me keeping up my fitness by having a running machine.

I was going out for a run Wednesday - but I fell down the stairs 4 days ago - so now I'm waiting for my back to get better.

Yes, but being a typical woman myself, I try to envision 3 months down the line when all the running machine will be used for is hanging clothes on

I had similar feelings about my exercise bike (now long gone) and my Wii Fit (currently gathering dust but does look nice on my TV stand on the shelf under my white Sky+ box)

Give it a month and see if you still want it so much :)

get a fold up running machine, and the space problem is reduced

How about some exercise videos instead? There are some really good ones about, they are cheaper and don't take up any space

You sound like the voice of reason! It is true I have a wii fit sitting there doing nothing.

I have run for a year outside managing 1 hour (slow) runs when I was at my fittest - but the runs keep being put off because I am ill, or kids are ill, or DH is out etc...

But I think you are right - I shouldn't buy on impulse - and maybe in a month if I still want a running machine - I'll have to buy a cheap 2nd hand one. Certainly the one I want won't be on sale any longer.

Aaah DD wants Charlie and Lola on TV - a nice simple want to solve ;-)

WOW - big smiles here, you saved all your wants for really good stuff - lol

Good luck hunting down fridge freezers. My MIL has one that plugs in to the water mains, so she has constant running cold water and ice cubes. Looks lovely.

Very true, and like most women I have some sitting in my cupboard.

Why do we always want more? Many people are far too spoiled these days

Could try running on the spot. This will give you exercise, wont get wet and will save you £300 that you can put towards something else
