you start by giving up

Start by choosing a language, preferably one that you may use/need ?
#4
I think you should learn to say hello, That will really help. Bye bye

if you really want to learn a language you do need to take actual classes; it's virtually impossible to learn from cds, books etc.

My friend used Rosseta Stone to start Russian before he started his uni course (german and russian) and he said it was pretty useful for reading and getting around but not so great for speaking.

Seriously, if you want to learn another language, there's a zillion courses of various types. It is not at all easy to just ' move abroad' unless you have another job e.g. teaching, lined up. Do the available courses and then think again exactly what it is that you want.
Secondo me,non e molto facile di fare un decisione come questo in due momenti. Ma, anche non e troppo difficile.

With the amount of time I used to spend in my car I thought I'd learn spannish with the 2 hours daily commutes.

if you use torrents just go have a search for the linguaphone audio cd's on whatever language you fancy learning, even if your not trying to hard just by listenng o the same cd's over and over really helps, I learnt more in a month than I did 5 years at high school. I got spannish german and french CD's here, if you figur out which language you wanna do let me know and I'll upload them for you to download and burn onto CD

Thanks youve all provided enlightenment......some more so then others but i think a course would be better, maybe with the cds as a back up.
