Congrats. Tesco are decent enough to work for, out of the numerous part time jobs i had while studying, Tesco was the best.

But that might have been due to the subsidised staff canteen with a 6 piece fry up for 66p every Saturday morning after my shift finished  :giggle:

Nice one Dan :) Go into the jobcentre beforehand and let them know, and if you have been out of work for 26 weeks make sure and ask about your job grant - i think you should get about £100 because your job will last for more than 6 weeks!

I left ym last job 19th october and i didnt cotnact the job centre as a friend said you have to wait 4weeks to claim so i rang up on the 26th and then went in like 3rd dec and they told me they wil start paying from the 26th but i did some claim form to try and get the money from the 4weeks before hand

So ring the job centre today and tell them ?

I only live about 5 miles from the Purley Way and Ikea and suchlike. I'm at the end of the tram line - Elmers End. Still trying to figure out whether it's best to drive or take the tram. Ideally it would be best to take the tram in the morning and drive home, but obviously I can't do that. Think I'll start with driving on Monday.
I need to be back for 3.15 to get the kids from school. I finish at 2.30 in the shop.
When do you start your job?

I wouldnt take the tram as it stops near argos and you have walk a fair bit and cross traffic to get to makro - you know where it is right - behind asda and opposite the back of vue cinemas

Training on sat

Oh right, I phoned Makro and asked. They said it was only a 5 or 6 minute walk from the tram stop. Is it longer than that then, you reckon?

Good luck for Saturday.
