I have just had this below email;
"We apologise that we were unable to fulfil your recent order placed on our Website. Due to phenomenal demand, some stock lines were sold out quicker than expected. Debenhams always strives to deliver exceptional customer service, and we are disappointed that we fell short in this instance."
I just called them and they have said that everything I ordered is out of stock. Considering I ordered at 7am on the first day of the sale (Wednesday morning) I find it very hard to believe everything is out of stock.
I also find it highly convenient that they choose to tell me today, the day after the sale has finished. My local Debenhams store had everything I had ordered in stock yesterday afternoon. Now, everything is back up to full price.
I am absolutely fuming. Debenhams always cancel something from my order but never before have I had the whole order cancelled! I am just really angry that if the had got their act together and told me sooner, I could have got all the items in store, now they are all back up to full price!!
In their email they also state;
"As a gesture of goodwill, should you wish to replace the order with our Debenhams To You home delivery service, we can offer you up to 30% off Fashion/Home items or up to 20% off Cosmetics/Furniture (*exceptions apply). This discount is valid from Monday 19th May through to Saturday 24th May 2008 only."
However, all the items I ordered where half price so 30% isn't enough and all the items I ordered are sold out in the sizes I ordered so I can't reorder them anyway! What really gets me is that when I was browsing online yesterday, everything I ordered was still in stock so has magically gone out of stock overnight!
I am so bloody angry!
