I hate paying Tax

Normally i get taxed £104 each month!
Ive been covering another job for the last month and my payslip this morning!

£504 paid in tax this month!
How crap is that...
i also did 56 hours overtime at time and half. This got taxed aswell!
Pension took £247.11
National insurance took £123.63

Was that emergency taxed or do your payslips have your tax code on?

im a student and I have absolutely no idea how this tax/benefit system works. All I know is that they will take the money in some way.

isnt there going to be a change in tax levels by end of september meaning everyone on low bracket pays less tax ??

the more you earn the more you pay tax, cut out the overtime,enjoy lifes simple things.
what work do you do?

our tax pays for our health system, emergency systems, public transport - and other great stuff (like bailing out northern rock). money well spent i think :whistling:

i got some tax refund last week anybody know what was all that about?

it seems to me as your doing 2 job s(thats what i gatther) you will be paying quite extra,however £504 is alot of tax money mate

off topic, but:
northern rock is the worst decision ever. I mean, Lehman Bros was more worth saving but everyone gave them the sack for good. We should have let nr go bust...

Human resources officer!
Was HR assistant but moved up! Hence the acting allowence
