Have flashed my touch HD to WM 6.5 (miri) from XDA-Developers it's better but still hate the interface, what else can I install to make it better? Android is sadly a long way off...

SPD Mobile Shell 3.0 is pretty nifty. Similar idea to PointUI in that it's a replacement interface, but I think it looks and works more nicely.

Will give both a try, this is the kind of thing I'm after the OS is largely ok just the interface gets on my nerves after previously having android and iphone...

I find that most of WinMo's finger-unfriendliness can be overcome just by using the optical trackpad and by configuring the left softkey to open the Start menu. By doing that, you can get by pretty much touching the screen at all.

Point UI was very new when I first tried it on a HTC tytn 1, but they were adding more and more to it all the time.

I think there is a pay version, but it was free, and at the time a LOT smoother (like iPhone smooth) than SPD, but may have changed.

Nah, but one could probably be picked up from the usual sites. I did read that the full version of PointUI isn't a massive deal better than the free version though, so it's probably no massive problem if there isn't one available.
