do your homework on the job and what will be expected of you and be prepared to show you have the skills for the job.. think about what positive traits you bring to the company.

Ask anything you need to know hon, what room there is for promotion, career advancement within the company etc.

is there room for career progression?....

how is my performance measured?....

always seem to go down well

These so far seem good, bar the lunch hour one haha.

To be honest im not too sure what is expected of me from the job, i was told about it from my college teacher when i finished 3 weeks ago as each year he has the people from the company doing the HND at the college.

I have tried to look up what it will be about and read everything they have given me.

which company do you have the appointment with?

if theres nothing you need to know, then dont force a question... an interviewer once told me he only asks it as a way to end the interview sort of thing

With the information they sent, they sent a page of interview tips. They want me to ask them some questions.

Also i need to learn how a mobile phone and landline works, they said i might be asked it at the interview, so i will be asked that then.

I always think honesty is best, so maybe you could ask either what qualities/qualifications they are particularly looking for in a candidate (then dazzle them with how you fit the bill!) or even what tasks can be expected on a day to day basis in the position - which should show enthusiasm for the role and provide you with more info.

Good Luck

Day to day basis is a good one.

They are just looking for people with gcses, but said people with a btec national certificate could apply too.

I have a btec national diploma.

listen carefully and ask the following questions for guaranteed job offer!

(remember to turn up late/its fashionable and to dress very casual,,chew some gum or even better walk in eating a big mac!)

q1.how much money will i earn?
q2.how long do i get for my lunch break?
q3.how many paid holidays will i receive?
q4.can i have frequent lie-ins?
q5.this isnt hard work is it because i suffer with a bad back?
q5.where we going for the xmas party?
q6.is this going to be my office?

simples

I think the advice about learning about the company is very sound- employers love it when you are enthusiastic and actually know abit about the job you're going for! Perhaps do some research into what direction the company is moving in and ask whether you'd be involved with that? Good luck anyway :D xx

agree with the above, most of the time its just a courtesy question to finalise the end of the interview, but have to admit I was always impressed with the ones who had done their reasearch and was able to evidence it by the questions they ask. Theoretically the asking of questions at the end of the interview is a courtesy as such should not be taken into account under equal opportunities, but in reality its usually the last impression you give the interview panel and if there is a close tie between candidates it can give you the advantage. You appear to have prepared well and have been given good advice, just relax and be yourself good luck with your interview,

Always ask at the end of an interview if there is anything else you an answer for them
