How can I get MS Word on it for free or lowest cost ?

Help is appreciated.

ether get it illegally or just use open office (http://www.openoffice.org/) its free and does most of the things word does and saves as .doc (same as word)

If you don't want a whole suite of programs as suggested above, just install Abiword. It works the same as Word and can open Word document and can save as Word documents.

If you have a child, then http://www.software4students.co.uk/ will get you a copy of the full; Office 2007 for £35, and this is for two licences, so you can put it on 2 computers. That said, you can always put down the name of any school you know, they don't check :)

I've got three kids, all at Sydenham in L/Spa, so will look into this. Cheers

You will have no probs getting it at all then :thumbsup: I've advised a few teachers at my place to use this scheme, and bought it myself. The only way of getting it cheaper is if you work for the NHS, and then its download only. This is the top package you can get, and for £35 it really is a steal. Its legit too - hologram discs etc

forgot to add - must add postage on - think its £2.95
