Quantum mechanics.
States that an atom can be in two places at the same time.
I am made of atoms, so I actualy CAN be in 2 places at the same time. QED

Well actually you are made up of elementary particles, each of your elementary particles has it's own wavefunction, the wavefunction extends to the ends of the universe. The wavefunction gives the probability of an elementary particle being in a particlar part of the universe therefore this means that you could potentially be at any part of the universe at any time.

But how do you know that it's YOU who's in 2 places? All you can know is that there are thoughts and that those thoughts must have a source *cough, Descartes, cough*. And, if you can be in two or more places at once, then are the thoughts of each the same and from the same source? If not, does that mean that it's not actually you who's in more place than once? Mmmmm, I wonder...

p.s. the questions are rhetorical unless one or more of you wants to answer them :-D

If were talking about consciousness, that's a whole different question. It means that what ever part of your body that the consciousness is stored in must be exactly replacated, however this would defy basic laws of physics which govern quantum mechanics. It is not simply that a particle can be in two places at once, the theory is that we are unsure where the particle exists until we measure it, just the same as we are unsure where a person is until a measurement is performed on them, for example a reflected photon enters our eye and we see them.
