Just wondered if anyone has managed to reactivate a lovefilm account with the 90 day trial code recntly?

It didn't work for me , saying I'd used the details before.

it won't let you use another trial when you have used them before, couldn't you use your partners details instead?

what, you reactivated your old account without changing any details? Please spill!

Even if you change your name, etc they will still know you have had a trial at that address

I've just reactivated with the 90 day trial on the "Combination 2" package.

To do it if you used to be a customer, login with your old username and password, it will ask if you want to reactivate your account, click reactivate. It then asks if you have a promotion code, enter the 90 day trial code. Next select which membership type you want, and then you will have the 90 day free trial.

you might need to enter new card details if you changed card or got a new one since you last used your account with them.

I cancelled my account a few days ago. (been with them for like a year only using 3 month trials)
Just tried to reactivate with that code and it tells me:

Thank you for your interest in our service.
Sorry but the billing details we have on record for you have failed
a preauth check. Therefore we were unable to reactivate your account.
Please update your billing details.
This can be done by clicking my account, change payment details.
If you have any questions, please contact the
Customer Services team who will be happy to assist you.


I haven´t changed my billing details and my CC is fine.
Has anyone else had this?

A while back i tried to reactivate my husbands account and it just said we had
a trial already. Is what I wrote above their new way of saying "you won´t get another trial?"
Because I tried the code from this thread on his account too
and got the same message as on my account....

EDIT: yes it is their way of saying no new trial.
I just reactivated an old account we had ages ago and it worked fine (with the same CC as on the other account!)
Very weird. I guess they just blocked the other 2 accounts for reactivation with
a promo code and that´s why it didn´t work.

Tanyaspace is your account at the same address?.

I have just tried to re-activate and it's not letting me with any codes. Thinking of doing in my wifes name but will be to the same address. Anyone know if it will work?
