I'm really forgetful

I can't remember if my Dad said his Mum had passed away, is there anyway of finding out without asking him as I would hate to ask him. I might text his wife but wondered if there was an even better option, like using a website online for deaths of a certain surname?

Do you know what graveyard she is buried in? if you could find that out then i think the church will hold records of the burial

Is this recently, or years ago?

last few years I think, I remember him saying she was really ill but we only talk about once a year. It's just I want my girlfriend to meet her, we used to be close.

Not if they didn't know she'd died. I think that's the problem.

You may have been lost in Amsterdam at the time?

Perhaps

If you have her name, date of birth, and perhaps your' birth cert', I'm sure the local registrar could tell you.

She may not have been buried, if perhaps cremated?

if they didnt invite u to ur grandads funeral then this one must have been ur grandmother? is my logic wrong here?

As i read the OP,its only him who doesn't know not his Dad,his Dad knows, the OP just doesn't wanna ask him as it would be rather insensitive to ask such a question:w00t:

Right, ask your' Dad if he did anything for mothers day, last Sunday.

If he took flowers to her grave - she died.

If he took her out for a meal - she didn't.

Sorted.

Maybe but I would have loved her to have met my Grandad on that side he was such a loveable character

Yes you can. He could have visited her grave.
Anyhow, he should have told him his gran had died when it happened.
I don't get this funerals by invitation only thing?
Anyone who wants to pay their last respects should be allowed to attend surely?
