Who would you class as a fake incapacity claimant, someone that has nothing wrong with them, or someone that has nothing visibly wrong with them?

Makes a lot of sense, hopefully this will go ahead relatively promptly.

About time - get a job you lazy *** !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said before it will also hit the ones who want to work.

I remember when I was signing on, being turned down for job after job.and eventually doing a stupid return to work scheme full of chavs and junkies who didnht want to work.

Its an interesting idea then as people are likely still to complain as if I was still worse off getting a "real"job so just did this work as id be better off would people still complain since im not paying tax and my wages come from tax

It depends on how you see "something" wrong

I suffer from depression and I admit it stopped me getting some hobs as I wasnt as enthusiastic as I should be or trying as hard as I should but was still applying and wanting a job.

I have nothing physically wrong with me.

Depends on how you see mental illness sort of things.

I could work when I had the depression but wouldnt of been a very good employee though as I say I still wanted to work and applied and made effort to write covering letters and filling in forms.

I hated not working but knew id be depressed working.

oh god, dont start nit picking, I'M not deciding who has something 'wrong' with them, the government is going to!!!! Tell your story to them when they come knocking

Were you talking to me? I wasnt nitpicking just asking yor opinion as some people say if you are physically able to work then you should and depression isnt real etc.

From the article.....

"The leaked document says everyone other than severely disabled people, carers and parents of young children should be expected to look and train for work. "

Sounds good to me.

How much influence have I had on your depression, Ryouga?

Kungfu, you basically see this idea as a good one, but are quite happy to accept those receiving incapacity benefit are entitled, and those that don't are not?

Doesn't this scheme give you the opportunity to work?

Not bothered now, let the government decide the criteria. as long as something is being done to get the idle ones working.

I must say, when I pass the nearest Jobcentre to me, there is always a hefty number of "young adults" loitering outside. A few buildings up is the military recruitment building, the temptation to swap the signs is so strong!

I don't see a problem with national service. I would have quite happily done it and maybe all the youths who go round stabbing one another would have learnt some respect and discipline so none of the violence on ouyr streets would be happening to the extent it is now.

And chesso, either you are presumably a dole scrounger or cannot read. Kungfu is saying that if there is NOTHING wrong with you then you should work. If you disagree with this statement and believe ANYONE should be entitled not to work if they don't want to and claim benefits indefinitely, then I would love to hear your argument for that.
