I am having major problems with my laptop, every time i move the mouse on the little screen mouse thing, the page flys up and down. Its really doing my head in now and any help i would be grateful for. I hope this makes sense. If i use the cursor keys to move the page up and down, as soon as i touch the mouse, it starts flying around again...

Sounds like your mouse has been set up to move the page up and down? Have you tried to look at the mouse settings (in control panel)?

right so this all happened after what???..removing a program or after you run CCleaner??....what you can do is try to set the lappy back to a time when the cursor worked fine ..using system restore..do you know how to do that?

ive just tried shutting down but that didnt work. No i dont know how to do that, but if you help me, im sure i could pucker up a large snog! LOL. All happened after i done cc cleaner and deleted a few things that i didnt think i needed, as they came up as rarely used.

Of course you may have removed the software that controls the lappy mouse function....right try this

go to "start" then "all programs" then "accessories" and then select "System tools" from the drop down menu...this will then give another menu and you select "system restore"....you will then see a box so you can select "restore my computer to an earlier time"then click "next"...select a date and time that preceeds your removal/ccleaner action and select next....your lappy will then hopefully restore to a situation where the cursor worked.

this application has failed to start because framedyn.dll was not found. Reinstalling may fix the problem. ok.

yep sounds like you uninstalled someit you shouldn't have...what lappy have you got??...cos you could also try going to the manufacturers website and seeing if they have a download for the touchpad.

Have you tried googling "framedyn.dll was not found"....may guide you to a download..

Or pretend you were never on the computer in the first place and blame someone else. A dog, maybe..

http://www.dlldll.com/framedyn.dll_download.html

you can download the missing file from here..it's then a case of finding out where to copy it..store it in my documents for now.

this seems to give clear instructions on how to restore the missing file

i aint ignoring you btw, im trying all what you post, many thanks x

I didn't think you were....was just multi posting to get all the links down...the last one seems the most helpful.

Just hope you get it sorted....PC/lappy probs can be so time consuming...I spent most of the bank Holiday fixing a mate's Dell..got there in the end but must have spent at least 18 hours on the job...and don't get excited!! LOL
and all that for a few pints.

Nah the last one wont work because there is nothing to right click on, its totally not on my computer at all! So im just going to have to smash it lol. Thanks anyway i do appreciate it.

well maybe the next step is to use the recovery CD/or is the recovery a partition on the hard drive? ..but before doing that make sure you have copied all your data to another source..like DVDs or an external hard drive..hope you back up your data??...I lost a whole load of memories and over 7000 music tracks when my hard drive snuffed it about 4 years ago...since then I have always backed up to an external hard drive.

Hope it all works out.

One other thing to try is the touchpad driver. I have an HP laptop and it's part of the HP/Compaq group now. The driver you're looking for is the Synaptics Touchpad driver. When you click on the mouse icon in control panel, this should appear. If it does, some of the settings may be screwed up. If not, you may need to download the touchpad drivers which you should get from the HP/Compaq site.

Well hopefully it's similar to my laptop. If you go to control panel, there is an option for mouse settings. With mine i have settings that have tabs for buttons and device settings etc. Under the buttons tab it should hopefully show the touchpad in the devices pull down menu.
