At work they tend to 'adopt' charities for a while and actively campaign and fund raise for them. This time around we're going for the "Make a wish foundation" - you know the one that makes a terminally ill child's wish come true - whether they want to go somewhere, meet somene, or just own something.

Now this is where I need ideas. One of the fundraising ideas is an adventure through the Thailand Jungle for 11 days. Which I think is a great opportunity to better myself, and raise money for a good cause in the process.

The only problem is.. I need to work out how to raise at least £2.5k. Now I've done sponsored events before.. but never come close to that amount - just a few hundred. So hence I could use any help I can get. So any suggestions, or if you've done something like this before - I'd really apprciate the help.

What percentage of the £2.5k goes to charity?

If I was going to sponser something like this I would want 100% of my money to go to the charity not to pay for your trip to Thailand.

Totally agree with you on that. Why should I pay for someone's holiday?

As for ideas, how about kidnapping somebody or their family. They need to be wealthy and healthy (you don't want them dieing on you). No need for it to be a child, a business man will do fine. Use some money as bait. And as you only need 2.5K, it will be such a small amount to them you'll get it without problem.

Just an idea.

my brother is doing a sponsored walk next year from Adelaide to Albany in Aus, to pay to get out there he is hoping to get sponsors from companies in exchange for advertising their assistance, i.e wearing there logo along the walk in exchange for a flight

If it is to better yourself, and maybe your company will benefit also by some of the skills you pick ie leadership etc - why can't you and they pay for the trip?
