I am a lorry driver and use my sat nav a lot now.
I understand that the sat nav does not recognise weight limits on the
roads, but it is also very out of date as far as new roads are concerned.
I know you can buy traffic updates and speed camera locations etc but
how can you "update" the sat nav to show new road layouts, ind estates etc?
Do I have to buy a new sat nav to do this?
I have a Navman icn750 which is quite old and not really purchased for my lorry driving,
can anyone advise me on the best sat nav to buy? or how to update this one?
I have my computer hooked up to the sat nav and have emailed navman, but got
no reply..
You help is really appreciated, thank you in advance.......

here is a link to the latest software updates, so my suggestion would be downloading this and seeing what this does for you

http://www.navman.com/Navman/Templates/standardcontent____4407.aspx

you seem to be able to purchase new maps aswell from the store on the Navman website, but they are £39 each so whether you think its worth doing this or buying a new unit i guess its up to you...

Just got a Garmin Nuvi 250W, at the time around £118 from Amazon. Excellent clear navigation. 2008 mapping system. Also join 'pocket gps world' for around £20 for the year for speed camera database, updated very frequently.

Hi, thanks but these are software updates an not mapping updates

"Download the latest updates for your Navman device here. Please note that these are updates to the system software, NOT updates to the map or safety camera data. For the latest maps or safety camera subscriptions please visit the Navman Store."

I do not know if it's worth £39 or whether to just buy a new and better sat nav.....
