Any help greatly appreciated :-)

just pay via paypal and they will take the shortfall from your bank, shouldn't be a charge no.

Will PayPal take the remainder from my Bank Account? Yes if you have one listed on your account

Will they charge me for it? No

My paypal account is nearly always empty and I pay using paypal. As others have said, it will come from your bank account providing you set it up.

If it comes from a bank account its sent via a Echeque i beleive which takes 10 working days to clear, add a credit/debit card to your account and it will pay the remainder instantly

up to a £1000 limit as I found out a couple days ago :P

Actually I've it to be fine from my bank, the only time it ever went through as an echeque was when my credit card expired.

I also was going to add that my payments have never gone thru as e-cheques so don't think this applies to payments from bank accounts (via Paypal)?

Link to whatever you like mate, as others have said - if you pay from your bank account with a card on file, it is not an echeque. Never is. Unless you select it to be. In which case you are mental. It also doesn't take 10 days. Its instant. The end. End of story. Bow out gracefully hmm.

Probably not, but as 2 other people have confirmed it, is there any need for me to prove anything?

it doesnt take 10 days. thats what I was commenting on factoid fans.

that wasn't the point I was making. You told the OP it would be sent as an e-cheque if taken from a bank account. I said it wasn't. The end. I would have let you off the 9 days ;)

I'm confused? I'm not saying echeques don't exist! I'm just saying they wouldn't be used in this instance, so it wouldn't take 10 days etc to clear. You know... in relation to the original post! :)

Why are you confused,i'm simply posting information directly from Paypal so people can read up about it if they are so inclined:thumbsup:

Are we keeping score,i think dean is ahead..lol

Also, I don't have a card on file - the only details I have on my Paypal are just my bank account details. Not wishing to put fuel on the fire but does that mean vibeone is ahead! LOL!:-D

Anyway, to clarify what happens for me:

> I only have my bank account details on Paypal account
> If I have no money in Paypal (or not enough) it takes the balance direct from my bank account
> It's INSTANTLY paid to the Seller
> The balance comes out of my bank account around 3 or so days after I have made the purchase

I have made many many purchases this way and some high value goods and no Seller would send out the goods if the money hadn't cleared for them.
