I've sold a Samsung E900 on ebay an hour ago and I get the following seperate email's in my email inbox, Note no Messages sent to me in My Ebay

A email from ebay saying my item has been sold for £75 to Ebay user:kimh3869 in a united Staes address, and only listed delivery to UK addresses only.

The second email is from paypal showing a invoice for £115 sent to my account (£40!) Delivery where it shows the Paypal Verified ebay users other address shown in Nigeria.

The 3rd email sent from '[email protected]' says

FPA NOTICE: eBay Possible Suspension Notice - User Agreement - Abusing eBay

We regret to inform you that your eBay account might be suspended due to concerns we have for the safety and integrity of the eBay community.

"Abusing eBay" of the eBay User Agreement states, in part:

"...we may limit, suspend, or terminate our service and user accounts, prohibit access to our website, remove hosted content, and take technical and legal steps to keep users off the Site if we think that they are creating problems, possible legal liabilities, or acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies."

We hereby wish to inform you that Kim Hughes (kimh3869) the winner of ebay item 160144712866, which has been relisted, due to interruption of a third party into the buyer account, and wish to inform the buyer has paid for the item using Paypal and you are expected to send the shipment tracking number to the buyer for shipment verification process. Due to the fact that most sellers on eBay recieve payment without postage of buyer merchandise.

If within the next 48hours the shipment tracking number is not provided, your ebay account will be suspended due to breach of contract.

Your payment has been kept on hold for shipment verification, you are here by advise to post the item out within the next 48 hours so that your payment will be Deposited into your Account, in order to avoid Suspension of your eBay account.

Regards,

Safeharbor Department
eBay, Inc.

And lastly the 4th email from '[email protected]' says

Dear 'my ebay user name'

Thank you for listing the following item/s on eBay:

160144712866 Samsung SGH - E900 Gold Brand New Unlocked

We have removed these listings and will credit all fees to your account because it has come to our attention that the items were bought without the account owner's authorisation. We are now restoring the account to its owner.

Please be assured that there is no negative mark on your account because of this. We only removed your listing so that we could credit all of your Insertion and Final Value Fees and prevent any further problems arising such as Unpaid Item disputes or negative feedback.

Note: It may take up to ten days for all the Insertion and Final Value Fee credits to be shown on your account status page.

You are free to list the item again using the Sell Your Item form or other listing tools. Unfortunately the listing won't appear as an Unsold item in My eBay and we can't relist it for you. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your understanding in this difficult matter. If you have any questions or require assistance, you can contact us from any eBay Help page.

Regards,

eBay Trust & Safety

What should I do this is very confusing

Avoid like the plague, it's a scam. Report the buyer to eBay.

Also don't reply to any e-mails from eBay to your email address.........they are just scammers trying to get your details. eBay will always contact you through My Messages.

Cobblers....anything eBay send to your e-mail addy will be in your 'My Messages' on-site...
if it ain't there it's bogus.....

kimh3869

Most of the scammers have this style of name - four letters then four numbers

log into ebay in your normal way - if they are not in your 'my ebay' messages then they must be a scam. if they are there and you're still not comfortable then forward them all to the spoof email address for ebay. DON'T click any buttons or links in the emails!

Right then,
Some thieving scammer, hijacked somebodies ebay account and has bought and sold things on it. Luckily ebay are on the case.
If you have been paid for this via Paypal you MUST refund that payment NOW, using the 'Refund' link next to that transaction.
Only messages from ebay that are in your ebay 'Messages' are real. All the other should be ignored.

Also forgot to add, ignore any money paid into your Paypal account, it will be removed shortly as it will be a stolen credit card payment.

I found this as well

From Kim Hughes [email protected]">[email protected]

Dear Seller,
I will like to inform you that payment has been made via paypal, i choose to make the payment via paypal because it is safe and secured for any ebay transactions, but i dont know what is going on,paypal told me they want to verify some sellers, due to the fact that most sellers get money from buyers on ebay using paypal and they will not send out items.

All you have to do now is send item and provide the me the reference number so that i can forward it to them so that they can verify it am not saying you are one of those fake ebay sellers but try to understand that they made that policy to protect the buyers and sellers on ebay.
As soon as you send the item, kindly send me the reference number so that i can forward it to paypal for verification,as soon as its verified your money will be credit into your account.

I agree, most reported problems with eBay are down to the users lack of applying the basics.

OH is on around 1,200 transactions (inc stuff I've bought & sold) & we've NEVER scammed or been scammed....sure the fees can be high but it's still better than the trade-in's you'll get offered in most high st stores....

There's plenty of scamming goes on, but like I said "if you use a little common sense & do your homework" then you'll generally be fine.

Ebay is not a scam, it is a Company, a very successful Company, out to make money. Just like Sellers, they sell to make money. :-D :whistling:
If you cannot be bothered to read their Terms and Conditions or Paypals User Agreement and you get scammed, don't blame ebay or Paypal. It's down to YOU alone.
If you do not understand their T&C's, U/A or you are unsure ask, making comments like that, just shows your limited intelligence. :-(

I just recieved the TKO NOTICE: eBay Listing(s) Removed in my messages on my ebay, so I think this is a legit message?
#23
Yeah its legit They have removed my listing, I'll relist again.
#24
Nah its Paypal who are the scammers, Ebay are just out to make a quick buck, whereas Paypal constantly limit peoples accounts for stupid reasons. such as they are "trying to protect you" by someone sending cash then Paypal freezing cash so seller or buyer has no access to it and force the sender of the cash to get verified.

Whats the point of letting people sign up without a bank account or debit card to force them to add one anyway?
