I would like to buy the wife a cabriolet but not sure which one to go for. I have had a look at the peug 206 and the new Colt. Has anyone got either of these and what do they think of them? The car needs to sit 4 but needs to be a smaller size. Anyfeedback would be very much apreciated.

Forget the 4 seats & do yourself a favour..........

Buy a Boxster - a proper cabriolet!

hardtop and ac FTW!

A Peugeot 206 Cabriolet does NOT seat four people comfortably - even if the two at the back are kids, it is not very practical... Oh and the Colt looks awful but I guess it's down to choice. What about a Micra cabriolet?

To the person who suggested a Boxster - perhaps not a sensible suggestion given the two original cars suggested - if you have no sensible suggestions - don't suggest at all!

Not such a silly idea as he didnt mention if he wanted a new car or not. You can pick up the earlier Boxster models between 8 and 10 grand

Just had a test drive in a 206 nice car with room for the fids to sit in the back. I had a look at the Micra but dont like the bubble shape of the car. The 206 is a more of smoother drive than the Colt. £6500 for a 02 reg with 39000 miles on the clock. Will need to look around to see if this is a good deal or not.

Hi
Bought the Renault Megane cabriolet. It seats 4 and is very comfortable. (we have 2 rugby playing lads and they can sit in the back reasonably ok at a pinch but best with only two. It has the same mechanism as 206 (friend bought 307 version which is about the same as the megan - but I prefer the Renault). Was able to negotiate a deal by citing internet prices to local dealer and get 22% discount of main dealer with £500 extras - bluetooth & reversing sensors). Great spec inc 6 cd changer, electrics, aircon etc.
Briliant that roof can be stowed in about 1 min by just presssing a button.

Buy either the 307 or Megan and enjoy. We used today with roof down & heater up - excellent.
