Not brill for family holidays. Mum and dad took me when i was a kid, and all i can remeber was go karting. Far better of going to a place like Majorca in my opinion if your taking family. Just my opinion though.

personally i didnt think the beaches in ibiza were all that - much prefer majorca. we stayed in san antonio bay - a bus ride to san antonio - enjough to get by but not hussle and bustle of san antonio

Depends on the time of year you are going but family friendly resorts are Es Cana, Santa Eulalia and Cala Llonga - might be a bit quiet early and late season, eg, early May and late October. The good thing about these resorts is they are all relatively close to each other and local buses are quite good for resort hopping or walking if you feel adventurous.

The busier resorts (clubbing) are San Antonio and Playa Den Bossa (to a lesser extent) - Den Bossa has a great big beach and plenty to do for all ages but in height of season can be quite rowdy, however is very close to the airport and only 5 minutes in a Taxi.

We have found that Ibiza has got really expensive in the last couple of years compared to other popular destinations such as Greek Islands, Portugal etc - last visit was in October 2010 and we stayed in Figueretas (walking distance from Ibiza Town and Den Bossa) but could be a bit quiet as your main base as really just a suburb of Ibiza Town.

Have a great time wherever you decide to go.

Sirenis Playa Dorada Hotel, Cala Llonga

This is a great family resort and lovely hotel, with plenty going on for the kids, very safe, clean and friendly. have been 3 years in a row, might sound boring doing that but I know what to expect and the kids love it :). I have recommended it to friends, and they have been several times too, I have no hesitation in recommending it at all :) It is rated as 2nd best hotel in the area, the beaches and views are amazing from the hotel and the hotel is situated on the beach. Have a great holiday wherever u go :)
