Hi

Am looking to go away in the next few days and Ibiza seems really cheap, but what is it like when you get there, am not looking to do any clubs there,as will be with my son aged 10, I just want somewhere with a pool and beach.

Things to do and prices would be great am looking at self catering!

Thanks Natalie

Fags and that are cheaper but you can't get Duty Free as it's in the EU.

Well, I am in Ibiza right now :) so can tell you prices easily.

Went to the Tabacco shop today, got 10 pouches of Golden Virginia for 35 euros, 10 pouches of Amber Leaf for 25 euro and looking at the fag´s they are anything from 23 euro upto about 31 euro, depending on the brand you go for.

Would recomend getting a hotel in the San Antonio bay area, San An town is rather rowdy and doesnt offer much for the kids to do, if your in the bay there are beaches, bars, mini golf and all sorts of other things, but I might reccomend getting an al inclusive, it has been very expensive this year, even with my super ex-ibiza worker discount I have managed to spend near on 300 pounds plus the cost of the holiday in the first place, will go all inclusive for deff next year.

Try here ^ They re also on page 277 on ITV teletxt.:-D:-D

I've been on a few hols with these guys - part of co-opp travel.

Been to Ibiza, Costas & majorca with them.
They do decent cheap all-inclusives which are great for the kids with kids clubs, free drinks & ice-cream etc-

Just a word on Ibiza- I've been a fair few times & it's great for kids but beware a lot of the cheaper deals are for the 18-30 type self catering holidays in the clubby/noisy parts which aren't too good for kiddys.

Good Luck & happy hols!

Hi there

We went last May and at the time my little boy was almost 9 and our girls were 5 and 1. We stayed in SA Bay and loved it. So much for kids to do and most of it was reasonably priced and sometimes free! Many bars have bouncy castles and trampolines and these are either cheap or free if you drink/and or eat there. We would definately visit again although have just bought a new 5 berth caravan so not in the near future! I'm sure the hotel we stayed at was called the Mar Amantis. It was AI and very good value. Food was reasonable, not brilliant, but ok and there were lots of restaurants within walking distance if you fancied a change from serve yourself buffet. Drinks were good too and there was ice cream and snacks all day for the kids. We booked through You Travel (don't forget quidco) and Travel Republic and the transfers were through Resort Hoppa (again quidco). Weather was fab too! Good luck :)

Yeah, I was doing my e-mails and HUKD'ing from my moible until the battery almost died, so had to switch it off for the alarm to still work.
Managed to get a pretty good sleep on one of the benches, pulled my beach towel out and kipped under that till 8am, got a train (or 3) back to home eventually, am now sorting out all the little bits and bobs that turned up while I was away, lol.

To the OP, I hope you have a great time in Ibiza, it is a very nice island and the "Bay" is recommended for families etc.

Remember to buy your ciggies/baccy in an official Tabacs ..not a supermarket or the airport, they are fixed price all over Spain and are always cheaper than Supermarkets / Airports.

They usually have a yellow on brown sign.;-)
