ideas for a golden wedding gift please!

My inlaws are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary during easter weekend and I am at a loss as to what to get them. They have recently moved out of a large house into a small rented one while they wait for planning permission to build a new house so they don't have room for nick-nacks or a garden to put plants into (they have loads of garden ornaments in storage) They are both in their mid seventies and enjoy days out, gardening, etc but are already members of National Trust.

I don't want to buy the usual engraved bowls etc. Obviously time is quite tight. Budget is around £60 but will go higher if the gift is perfect.
Help please!!!

what about getting a didgital photo frame. You could scan loads of pictures of them together over the years, and then they have a montage of changing pics to remember all of the years together

we all got my OH's parents' ruby wedding anniversary holiday week in a 5-star irish exclusive hotel. the best thing is they could break it up into a long weekend + another break for a few weekdays at another time. they absolutely loved it!

They probably have all the ornaments they need I bet(you get a lot of stuff over 50 years!)

Maybe get them tickets to a show that they might enjoy.

We are already all clubbing together to pay for a party at a hotel so budget is limited. We sent them on the orient express for their ruby anniversary which they loved!

They live in Somerset now so not sure they would be up to travelling to the west end now (they have just moved from Herts which would have made this the perfect gift).

I saw this the other day but believe me they have more ornaments and glassware than they need (and I know because I helped them pack it all when they moved!) Now if it was my Mother then she would love any of these!

Hmm, I'd be interested to know if someone can get in a 5 star Irish hotel if the budget is only £60

Yes I had thought about that! How many times do you think someone would want to visit though? I have never been so I don't know. Definately worth thinking about. Also thought about English Herritage membership which I am trying to check whether they are already members or not.

That is a really good idea which I am definately going to remember for my father in law for Fathers Day but somehow I don't think my Mother in Law will appreciate it for their wedding anniversary:p
