The tie them up and gag them game... if they haven't escaped by bed time, they win and you can untie them and put them to bed..

I used to make my little one decorate the vacuum cleaner so it looked like a ghostbusters machine and get her to hoover up all the 'dirt' ghosts, worked too, house was spotless :-D:-D

Ive never thought of doing that. I shall have to stock up on sequins - HATE glitter with a passion lol. The glitte rpens arent too bad but I find it jsut gets everywhere. You always get those cards at xmas where you open them and the glitter just pours out

i would normally tell the little one we are going to hobbycraft, give her some money to put in her own bag and really string it out, makes it a bit more exciting than plonking them down with the stuff, they love the imput. they have lots of ribbons and sequin strips. you can easily waste an hour in hobbycraft :)

get a village in a bag from oxfam for a few quid

sturdy little wooden toys which last forever - my 10 year old still plays with hers from time to time

DS is too much for a toddler in my opinion
