Hiya, were lucky enough to be going off to new york in a few weeks, but before i go i would love to get something sweet arranged to do while we are there. Now im not after the usual visit the empire state etc, or helicopter flight etc (although th elatter is sure on my list) but i want something a little different, were staying at a really nice hotel so thats kinda ticked off the list but just fancied something different, i have seen a day trip to niagara falls but it looks like it may be a killer of a day and possibly spoil th erest of our time there.
maybe you know more than us, give us your best shot

i would recommend a trip to ellis island, we thought it wasfab and only spend five minutes at the statue of liberty as a result.

is ellis island the imigrant centre? a friend has told me about that place and said it was very good

New York is between Shiremoor and Whitley bay.
All shiremoor has is a Sainsbury's so I'd go to Whitley as New York only has one pub.

Go on the speedboat trips out to the Statue of Liberty - Its a good giggle (I think the boat was called 'The Beast'). Its also good cos it doesn't take all day so you can do other stuff in that day 2.
Have a wicked time

OK then maybe not the best choice for you then!! Try & go to a comedy club though - you buy the tickets from the guys in Time Square & they are really good value & a really good giggle.

We went recently, the whole china town area is really interesting loads of off the beaten trek shops and restaurants to wander round and try out.

We looked at the niagra falls trip but ended up booking Washington tickets instead
