Ideas for rounds in a pub quiz!

Im doing a pub quiz in a few weeks time and i want some ideas for rounds.

So far i have Tv, Pot Luck, Sport and the link round along with a picture round.
i would quite like some slightly away from the norm stuff but not to whacky as it is in a local village pub where the age ranges from 20 to 60 odd with the majority being in the 2nd half of that age range.

im thinking 10 rounds of 6 questions + picture round + puzzle round (both of which they will have for the duration of the quiz.

Great idea, but i dont think it would work too well with the roads in the village.. thats the sort of thing i will be using in the link round though!

A more active sort of thing that we do in quiz style games is:
host has a weird picture
one member per team allocated drawer
each member of team takes it in turns one at a time to go up and have a 30 sec look at picture then they have to tell the allocated drawer what to draw. After all members have been up the team with the drawer whos picture is closest to the original wins!

Its harder than you think - you normally end up with some very strange drawings. Especially with a few pints down the drawers neck!

Another top notch Idea but they are a finikity bunch at he pub and if its subjective they kick up a fuss!

Get some big pieces of card and stick pics on for them to guess-maybe around a theme like old kids Tv progs/characters or just famous people. You can have them passing around the tables all night as a 'Big Bonus' round and it gives them something to do between rounds or if you have half time.

Got that :D each team will have a picture round and a puzzle round that they get at the start. Pictures are famous TV and film aliens. who are they and where do they come from.. like Mork, Alf, Optimus prime, the great gazoo etc :)
