Its only more secure because its got a smaller userbase, IE still accounts for 70% of the market share, I think FF is something like 12-15%. The hackers target the most popular browser and so more vulnerabilities are found in IE.

I'm a Firefox advocate, have been since the days it was still in 0.8 beta, but because Mozilla has actually followed the guidelines for HTML and CSS rather than what Microsoft have done and ignored large parts of them.

Firefox is the best

i use both but prefer IE, its quicker to start up. but its flawed, it usually takes microsoft a few days to admit its flawed and then fix the flaw, which by that time you have switched to firefox and then switched back after a patch is released.

Firefox is more secure !

Safari.

(Sorry! :-D )

But yes, FF over IE any day of the week. Generally cannot stand Microsoft software, with the exception of Office and a couple of the games they make. :)

Opera is my choice, it's the source of most browser innovations and it's a polished package out of the box - little work needed to configure it.

Firefox for general stuff, IE for 'secure' bank sites as they don't tend to support FF. Oh the irony
