I would probably say something.

If they kept 1p back from every customer it would be a lot of money.

We went to TK Maxx today also

my local KFC do it all the time. You pay for something then they give you your change...but tell you they have no pennies, or 2p's, and ask if thats ok?
#4
id ask for it just on principle

Dont know, a few years back I got a bunch of reduced sweets and drinks at Woolies and noticed the person hadnt reduced them enough, came to about 45p total and my brother said not to bother.

Quite true, I remember once being 2p short in HMV and the person refusing to sell it to me, walked off without item and person shouted at me that I should never come back! must of been having a bad day! Turned out the 2p had fallen into my shoe after all that.

I used to work at Subway and lots of people needed 1p change.

A lot of people used to say keep the change and we would put it into a little pot for the staff.

Then the owner said that we had to put it in the till.

We were already earning a pitifull minimum wage :x

They usually do for me

It is your choice whether to have your change or not - not the cashiers. I always wait for my bill in cases like this and expect the penny to be with it. Charity box or my pocket is then my choice!!

No i wouldn't - it's 1p.

I hate having to carry 1p coins and I usually tell them to keep it.

Depends on my mood. If I were in a foul mood, I'd probably ask them if they wanted to help themselves to my wallet while they were at it. Luckily, Ars*nal got stuffed today, so I'd probably give them my wallet and say "keep the change."

1ps do mount up though as by the end of the month my parents can have £4-£10 saved in pennies they put in a jar, and back when I used to do it when I was like 19 when I was on benefits I could get about £5 a month at least.
