If I was Prime Minister...

I would allow smoking back in pubs/clubs (I don't smoke)
I would make it a minimum 3 year sentence for anyone carrying a knife/gun
Any child under the age of 18 caught outside after 9pm loitering would be fined £50
Ban people under 18 to wear tracksuit/hoddys in shopping centres.
Change smoking ages to 18+

More to come.
Discuss.

Given the standard of your suggested policies, I imagine not.

That one is bang-out. Im certainly no chav before you say that .
When i was a teenager i spent most of my summer nights chilling in the parks with friends. We caused no trouble. We didnt drink or smoke in the streets. A better law would be

I bet when you was a teenager, your probably 16. If im incorrect, children have changed alot for when you "was a child" sir.

Why would you allow smoking back in pubs if you don't smoke? do you frequent pubs?

4 pubs a day are closing since the no smoking ban come into effect, more money for pubs + more tax etc etc.

Yep. Non-smokers only appear during the summer hot days around my way and then the pubs are empty in winter as all the smokers are out the back lol

If the stats are true, then yes something to look into maybe no smoking after certain hours

1. Make your own policies.
2. Get our soilders out of Iraq and afganistan.
3. Tax reforms
4. To ban some gov organizatins from making offshore contact centers, we are literally killing the job market here, at least 10000 jobs should be brought back from India

I agree 100% with no.2, we need them soilders on the streets here, to teach some of the kids who cause trouble a lesson.

Out sourcing jobs on the other hand I don't know

That is nonsense without understanding whether they would have closed anyway (social trend changes) and whether new ones are opening to replace them.

Completely. You didn't analyse your "fact" and factors involved other than your basic "hypothesis".

I do understand why they have closed, and as i said earlier it is one of many reasons, more people will go to the pub and buy beer now, meaning more tax for the government. Are you still in high school? lol

So why use it as a point for why the smoking ban should be lifted? You have ignored social changes, the fact that more pubs/bars have opened in towns and country pubs have closed (will you now blame the smoking ban for why rural post offices are closing?), beer being more expensive than ever, that "going to the pub" is less of a tradition than it was 30 years ago and so on.

Do you not think that with people (supposedly) spending less in the pub that they don't spend it elsewhere anyway, which leads to tax income too? I guess that's thinking too much for the future PM.

And no, I am not in high school, boy.

But the more people who smoke and passive smoke then the more it costs the government to treat them when they get ill, Don't you think prevention is better than cure?

any illness due to smoking, i would make the smokers pay the NHS for treatment.:)

Agreed! Add murderers of 2 or more people to that list too.

Kill them early on, save money and free up the prisons.

What point is that, that's the easy way out, why not let them suffer in prison, far more of a punishment?
#33
they dont deserve a second chance

the kids they abuse dont get one, abuse cannot be 'undone'

Good in theory but in reality they'd have a nice prison life with their sky tv and games of pool, 3 meals a day and a bed to sleep in. That isn't punishment.

After a few years they'd be out again and no doubt reoffend.

At least if they are dead they can't hurt anyone again.

that is the reason our prisons and our criminal system needs sorting, not a reson to bring back the death penalty

If it made 100% sure my kids weren't going to be targeted by some one who been let out or escaped from prison then it would certainly be good enough for me.
#38
i dont think they should die, but agree they should never be released, many re - offend and imo its not worth the risk

we had a recent scare locally, the offender was put on the register but just given a 'warning' whats that all about

severe enough for register but left to do what he likes

its the same with many other physical crimes. They need to be taught what they done is wrong and how to control these urges.

I don't believe in the death sentence either.
