as title been looking around the net but i can seem to find an answer i know brazil got to keep the last one as they won it 5 times so i wondered will it be the same for italy if they won it this year making it 5 titles??

i think brazil hold the jules rimet trophy (world cup) and that a new trophy was made when brazil won it for the 5th time. thus the new trophy has only been played for since then.

They changed the rules. They won't keep it if they win again.

The Jules Rimet trophy had a..'stipulation' if you will, that if a team won that trophy 3 times it was theirs to keep, so when Brazil won their 3rd World Cup they got to keep the trophy, however there is no evidence to suggest that if a team wins THIS trophy 3 times they get to keep it.
