...and you noticed the stamp wasn't franked, would you peel it off to re-use it for yourself?

I don't but Ms Meandog does this from time to time... she'll have a job doing it with the new style stamps with the perforation in them.

my nan does, but she only does that because she needs to save money she doesnt get much pension.

i even cheaper - i reuse the envelope! - that way the stamp does not get damaged!! :)

like ur style. i usually cut out the stamp therfore keeping it in tact and glue it onto a new envelope as they don't peel off using kettle steam as well any more lol.

Yes I do, but use them for the charity work that I do, so it saves us on postage.

I cut the area off and put the rest of the envelope and stamp in a saucer and the stamp peels off and then when dried, I glue it back on to the next envelope.

Why spend money when you don't need to?

I do it too....it's not just about saving money...I've often run out when I go to get them out my purse, so it saves me going out to get some:thumbsup:

I reckon the best suggestion on here though is from Fireexit who just reuses the whole envelope so she doesnt need to steam off the stamp either!!

Up until 1998 this would have been considered treason and you could have been hanged for it,also defacing or putting the queens head upside down on a letter..same punishment :)

I must admit that Fireexit's idea is better than mine of cutting them off and sticking back on with glue.
