...for 4 cans carling?
...for diet pepsi?

Don't know if I am the only one to get odd substitutions. I have today received pepsi max instead of diet pepsi...why not just send diet coke. Also had previously 4 cans of bitter for 4 carling.
I have had lots of strange substitutions in the past, just wondering what you would pick instead of the above or what the strangest substitutions are that you have ever received?

its a lot more organised than that, you dont get a choice in what to pick....you never know if the original item is out of stock as the system tells you to pick the replacement

To be fair plenty of people would moan if they sent Diet Coke instead of Diet Pepsi.

I dont like Diet Coke....I like pepsi max or if not pepsi max then diet coke. Dont see a problem with what they did

I can sometimes get angry with ASDA. We usually buy 24 tins of cat food in 2 x 12 packs. ASDA have yet to fail to send 2 x 6 can multipacks. I have a feeling they do this to avoid the price match savings

they once substitued a jar of red pesto with salsa!!!!!!

I ordered ladies fingers to make a trifle and they substituted them with cadbury chocolate fingers

Definitely would give Pepsi Max if Pepsi Diet was out of stock.

one thing i do like though is i tend to order value stuff, if they dont have any instock they sustitute for a better make but i only get charged the value price!

I think substituting Pepsi max for diet Pepsi was the better option personally...same brand and all that.
They probably have to be really quick and do the best they can, you don't have to accept it anyway do you?

I prefer diet coke but if it was out of stock I would prefer something from the coke range rather than pepsi range, I think they did the right thing

I hate pepsi max, I don't see it as a natural substitution as it's so sweet. Diet coke is surely the alternative...or it would have been had it been on offer. If it is put on a computer how do the manage to have bitter instead of lager?

I might try that, knowing my luck though they will have all the value price stuff though:roll:

May I ask a question, on a slightly different note? Whenever I order two of something, and it gets substituted, they only send me one of the new thing (if it was vastly more expensive) but still charge for for the two I didn't get. It still works out cheaper than buying the new thing but...

I order two packs of smartprice drinking straws, at like 14p each (100 straws in each) but they sent me one pack of 100 bendy straws, priced at 85p or something. They still charged me 28p (for two packs of cheapo ones) but sent only one pack. If I emailed them would they refund me? They are pretty good customer service wise, but I've never tried querying the charge of something like this, especially when I still got a good price!

its his fault!

because they've stuck with the PEPSI brand, which imo is the right thing to do

you can refuse any substitute, or any item in your shopping, or you can opt out of substitutes
