IM FUMING! ebay buyer who didnt pay leaves me NEG feedback

my blood is at boiling point now, a buyer who didnt ask questions about postage, then wins refused to pay as " postage should be the same to me as to Aust" well it wasnt! cancelled the sale as to avoid neg feedback , relisted the items with amended postage charges the " buyer " sends constant emails about the postage charges, so i told her that as she didnt pay for the item its of no concern to her what i charge. and now she leaves me a neg and totally ruins my 100%. emailed ebay to remove the feedback but im still fuming.
sorry rant over

I believe if you file a dispute for a none payer then they cannot leave negative feedback and you can get it removed.

what do you mean, you advertised postage costs for the uk only?
#3
I had the exact same issue about 6 months ago... some ****** from Portugal bought something from me (totally ignoring the fact that the auction stated postage to UK only at whatever price it was).

I said fine I'll send to Portugal, but the price will be whatever, and he said no, and left me neg feedback.

I opened a dispute, and won it (so got fees back etc), but they said they can't remove the feedback as it is meant as a reflection on how ebay members interact? WTF!!

Was my one and only neg as well (300 positive).* Inappropriate Language removed

I apologize:roll:

and I'd bet neither would have left the negs if the seller could leave one.
Both those buyers deserve negs, but as most people seem to think sellers shouldn't be able to leave negs, as theres never any reason to (see numerous other threads on here!) it will never change!

No hun, i listed it as ship worldwide, with postage costs to most places, the buyer just assumed the postage would be the same to New Zealand as it was to Austrailia.

i would have thought it would be :?:?

The only thing you can do is leave a comment on their feedback explaining how you got it & hope people read it. It annoys me that you can leave a **** buyer neg feedback!!

the prices ARE THE SAME to Oz and NZ

RM divides areas into UK, Europe or Rest of the world.

i would send sweet email to buyer and explain you were given wrong info. apologize for her losing sale and then ask to revoke neg.

im confused - lol

follow the non paying bidder process to get neg removed and fees refunded or explain the mistake is not theirs but at your end (post office) and see if they still want it and ask to remove neg
banned#17
sorry vinyl but look at it from the buyers point of view, as far as there concerned they purchased something you then refused to send unless they paid £6 more

I can see the buyers point of view but why the neg.
#19
just report non paying bidder get your neg removed and use the royalmail site in future for prices

i agree with the buyer the price is the same to both so not their fault

if you purchased something and the buyer tried to get an extra £6 then im sure you to would neg

I didnt refuse to send it thats the point she refused to pay with out discussion, I offered to send it snail mail which would have taken 2-3 weeks but she said cancel and relist so i did

snail mail isnt what you offered in your listing, as far as buyer is concerned you tried to get an extra £6 out of them, so in your ameded item you have now added £6 on to postage cost even though your original was right

just for info, wether you send it registered or not through royal mail makes no difference to speed of delivery., just means it will be signed for at the other end and insured for more, will take same amount of time as a normal parcel, 5-7 days

maybe she looked at the royals mail's website and saw the prices are exactly the same and thought you were trying it on.

post offices often mis-price things I have found.

because you were charging the wrong postage costs not your fault but all they had to do was look at the royal mail website to see the price was the same so we fairly assume you were trying to pull a fast one

I'd explain to the seller the problem, and ask them if they'd be happy to remove feedback. Mention that if they decide not to remove feedback then you'll be going through the unpaid item process, which will leave them with an unpaid item strike?

I see your point but she requested to cancel the sale not me i could have waited and pushed the non payer, but didnt,

you couldnt have pushed anything, you offered worldwide shipping at the cost you place in the advert
#26
I think this is why alot of people post to UK only to avoid this hassle
#27
Unfortunately I think the OP is at fault for not clearly defining the postage costs to all the countries they were willing to post to.
banned#28

yes i totally agree but there was no prices listed for NZ just for Aust and the rest of the limited places you can add.

but the postage is the same, you dont have to list every country, worldwide says that

after she complained bout the postage i emailed her the RM website with the correct page for the price , and she still asked to cancel the sale.

What link did you send her?

The seller has already done a mutual cancellation so can't do a non paying bidder/unpaid item to give the buyer a strike

If the buyer didn't respond to the mutual cancellation specifically blaming the seller the neg feedback can be removed though

I am assuming it is a 1.2 kg International signed for small packet.

£18.16 for both countries.
banned#33
vinylandtrinkets
ok so why do the post office charge you different prices to different places for instance, the box was £18.00 to NZ £12 to Aust £18 to USA and £18 to Canada so worldwide postage isnt standard, and i dont like overcharging people, sold stuff to south korea used the website for the charge invoiced, took it to post it and was a £1 cheaper so refunded the buyer

i dont know, maybe you misread it, maybe a blipp on site, etc,etc tbut they are the same
#34
I still see this as your fault for not working out the postal costs before advertising you would send to NZ for a certain price.

yep thats what i thought

Your pricing results for a delivery to Australia weighing 1200.0 gram are...
International Signed For Small Packets From 5 days Up to £39 Within UK £18.16

Your pricing results for a delivery to New Zealand weighing 1200.0 gram are...
International Signed For Small Packets From 5 days Up to £39 Within UK £18.16

OP are you sure you didn't price the original postage to AUS for surface mail by mistake?

you dont have to, the op advertised worldwide, it isnt up to buyers to work out shipping costs, they have to be in the listing, this was, as worldwide shipping

the post office were wrong and so were you for not verifying the postage yourself on the very link you sent to the buyer which clearly shows prices are THE SAME :whistling:
