I've got myself some extra thick inner tubes, it adds quite a bit of weight but I've never had a puncture in the 3yrs of using them, and I do some serious down hill mountain biking.

My son puts that Slime stuff in his tyres - mends punctures and stops him getting anymore.

Reviews on Amazon are terrible, but it works perfectly for him...

I used to get punctures all the time until I got the puncture resistant tyres with kevlar. Went a very long time before they tyre started wearing down and eventually got one.

Never used it or seen it used but something I saw in Lidl could be good. Its an aerosol can with a connection to fit over the valve of the inner tube.
Called something like tyre weld. Think it fixes a puncture from inside the tube. Dont know how long the fix lasts but might be quick and easy for emergencies.

the slime skabs, or any of the self stick patches are great to fix punctures. less mess. to avoid them, fit slime liners and make sure you have the tyres well inflated.

I've never fixed a puncture, i just buy a new inner tube from Wilkinsons, when i last got one, it was about £2

I do a fair bit of mountain biking, as a general rule, we never bother to fix punctures on a ride, takes too long, and its not unusual to have several punctures in one ride... Take some spares with you, and fix the punctures when you get home, any puncture repair kit will do for that.
