WOW...How much a month? But guess they will be strict on download usage?

The V+ box is well good. I've been with Virgin for a long time (when it was Telewest) and the service hasn't caused any problems (they are pricey with their broadband once deal runs out though) but the V+ is wicked. Easy to use, not unreliable and you can record 2 programs at same time and you can watch a 3rd.

I am already a Virgin customer, and called them yesterday to try to get a deal on the V+ box, they wouldn't budge. It is £99 for the upgrade to V+ then an extra £5 a month on top of what we pay now. I'm holding out for a better deal as the Sky box is now only £49.

My friend in Glasgow had Virgin 50Mb said it was ok but the speed dropped at peak times of course and the gaming ping was hit and miss just got rid of as it was too expensive.

Last I Read virgine limited you to 1GB or 750 or 500mb(package dependant) between 2pm and 8pm.

They diodn't limit you, they slowed your speed but you can still download. Its 5gb before you hit the limit though on the 20mb service.
No download limits on the 50mb service though (upload speed is rubbish though)

There is a throttle. you'll be slowed down badly.

Got a link to that, as there is currently no throttle on the 50mb service?

I've been on the 20mb service since it came out, and i'm constantly downloading and it;s always between 1800kbs and 2300kbs, never seen any throttling going on here..
