im really upset at an ebay seller my son had some birthday money left over and i knew he wanted wwe figures so when someone near cardiff was selling 46 i told him he could bid on them with his £30 i put his top bid in and we waited and he won at £4.89 only to be told he couldnt have them as the sellers wife had already sold them i think its unfair that if i wanted out once i bid i cant but the dont have to sell why do people like him put things on if there not happy with the risk it could go for less than they wanted to sell it for then they should have to put a reserve on it and pay the fees i think ebay should make them pay say a flat 5 x the price if they do that maybe then sellers would stop it coz it the few like that that puts 100% payers like me off ebay and makes it hard for the good sellers sorry rant over it just makes me mad to see my child upset coz of some money grabber

send them a picture of your little boy crying and thank them for being such a great human being, give them the gift of guilt and shame

I’m so sorry i been coming here for a bit now and i see how supportive you all are of each other.

I needed to rant as its really peed me off that someone upset a child whether it was my child your child or anyone’s child I think what they did and can get away with is wrong.

im no good at the best of times with full stops and things so again im sorry.

Give them a negative feedback and Open a Dispute for Item Not Received

You can also threaten them with legal action (Loss of a Bargain)

You reported your son! A bit harsh innit!

ebay is flawed in many ways - also its fees are quite high....but you cant ignore its pull. So many users = easy opportunity to sell

I sympathize for your son but as I say - to put a reserve on an item means more fees and on top of the cut ebay and paypal takes already its easy to see why people pull out of sales. I sometimes wonder why I sell things on ebay because for all the effort I end up with very few £££ in my pocket.

don't apologise!! people here are just messing about.

ebay has its good and bad points. just report them/leave them bad feedback. then look for some other figures your son wants.

yea its best not to stew over it - ebay arnt very strict because they make piles of cash every minute so rarely punish sellers.

Look for someone who has high feedback and buy from them - everytime

i know what you’re saying, but you as a good person will still sell at that price. I just find it hard when there are people like this seller that will cheat a child.
If I had won something I would just get my money back and it would be over it’s the fact it’s a child I can’t handle.

I know it doesnt make up for it but how about putting a wanted on here its the sort of thing lots of people may have lying around not being used as a lot of children may have outgrown them. You may not get as many but even if you can get 4 or 5 i think your son would love it.
Really sorry you've been so upset i know how angry i can be when its the kids who are hurt.
#20
he had a 97. something% feed back from over 400 sales i know some people dont tell the truth in feed back so i went with the 97.something% and put my sons trust in them
#21
Unfortunately the way ebay charge sellers massive fees you have to take a chance and list cheap to keep insertion fees down. The result of that is a crappy final price, I dont blame the seller for backing out, although it still isnt right.

Well for one if the comments are in anyway defamatory or libellous there is that and if you have incouraged people to "give hima very full inbox tomorrow" -harrasment:|
#32
in agreement with the op, to be honest though a price like that you would expect the auction to be pulled happened to me before as well - not much you can do leave negative feedback thats about all really

Indeed, whatever the seller has done and yes they are totally in the wrong, writing possibly libellous stuff, incouraging harrasment all over the internet, is not the brightest thing I have ever seen, but then I half read the op.
