oh let the fun begin..will your cat accept the kitten??probably not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!well not for the first few days..lol..she/he will kick the ...... out of it....or at least let the kitten know who is boss...dont worry in a few days ish....your cat will be bored of tormenting the kitten and leave it be...obviously your cat will go in the huff with you as well, for bringing a newbie into its house...my cat hates me..she ignores me and runs to everyone else acting all gorgous and purry...but when its me and her she doesnt even glance at me..even with tuna!!you can have her if you want..where do i post??(i am kidding and would never part with her...evil chick that she is)..................get a kitten it brings new life to a cat..x

Just did the same earlier this year. It took a while as they are both Toms. Since the Kitten has had his OP though they are a lot better together now and the 5 yeard old looks out for him when they go out.

hi it might take a while before your cat gets used to the new kitten about a week or so but then they will be just fine:thumbsup:

We got a couple of kittens back in April/May and already had two older cats (aged 3 & 5) and the older, really grumpy one took to them within a couple of days and doesn't mind them now but the younger, really friendly cat changed completely. She never wants to come in the house now and hisses and growls allll the time when she does come in... It's such a shame cos she was the nicest but she just hates the little ones and we thought she'd settle after a couple of weeks :-( She's lovely outside the house though and purrs and loves attention - even jumps on the car when we pull up to see us!
