Gargle with aspirin, it has anti-inflamitary effects, and it will help kill the pain too. You can mix this with Neurophen to ease the pain

Sorry to hear you're in pain :-(

From what I've heard, Arneca is just to stop bruising, nothing to do with pain relief. In the pregnancy group I was in, lots of women were raving on about smothering their neither regions in it after child birth to help stop the swelling and bruising. Can't say I tried it myself though :w00t:

If I was you, I'd just be plying myself with a couple of paracetamol and then 4 hours later a couple of ibruprofen and keep alternating between the 2 every 4 hours. As they are different drugs, you're not overdosing (as confirmed by NHS Direct as they tell me to do this with the paracetamol and ibruprofen medicines my kids have when they are really ill). but that's just what I'd do - you might not want to, in which case I'm not very good with suggesting alternative pain relief options.

Swilling your mouth out with warm salt water a few times a day will also help keep any infection away. Good luck and hope the pain eases soon

Stub your toe, it will take your mind off your throbbing mouth. :)

:) Hope your feeling better soon.

My wisdom teeth are just coming through - have one and a half and can feel the other 2 through the gum but they havent come through at all yet. Painful enough them coming through - cant begin to imagine the pain you are in!

Yeah, I remember my wisdom coming through the gums. Hurt like hell sometimes when eating.

I was annoyed because 3 came through fine but one lower wisdom impacted on a molar and had to be removed.

You can take Ibuprofen and Paracetamol at the same time. Most extra strength pain relief pills are made with the two :) I know my mum used the combination after the dentist took a scalpel to her gum... and then drilled into the jaw... and then screwed in a metal spike...

I vouch for this, I've been advised many a times to mix the two just don't drink while taking them though else you really will be in trouble, on the floor dribbling from being drunk on only a bottle of beer.
