please go check the kennels before putting her in thats what we did we just turned up and asked to look around most kennels are happy for you to see (we were quite shocked by some standards)
make sure their other jabs are upto date to
take her blanket
list any meds that they are on
when you drop them of you will need to take the injection card with you

mine prefers to lie on the cold tiles in my kitchen rather than her bed so not too fussed about that but i may take her bed with her. mines a newfoundland.

yeah any kennel worth going too will want proof of vaccinations, like ttwc go for a look first just to make sure if your dog has a plastic bed they should be happy for you to take it! last time my lot went into kennels it looked like parish hilton had turned up the stuff they have ha ha ha

also some will supply food for you others want you to supply your own make sure they arnt feeding your dog anything different dont want him to have an upset tum bless!!

I also make sure that they have a 24hr vet on call just incase. . . .

on saying that we have someone that comes in now to do our dogs while we are away!! works out alot cheaper too ha ha :-)

it workeds out for me because
1) someone was in the house
2) post was moved i carried on getting milk and papers delivered so as far as anyone knew it looked like i was at home
3) i have 3 cats,2 dogs, 2 chinchillas parrot and fish in pond so was defoe easier then dropping everybody off different places
4)basic housework was done for me plus i leave a basic shopping list so they do this for me
5) works out a lot cheaper
and lastly the animals seem more happy and relaxed when they are in their own hope

could u not see if you have have any boarders near you, my dog goes to the boarders every time we go away, so nice they have the run of the house, play out in the garden, 3 walks a day & whatever rules you have at home they try to keep the same while thet stay there, they also play with them and give them lots of cuddles:thumbsup:
