Not as bad as deathproof(obviously) but anyone else getting a bit tired of the "why use one word when a hundred will do" style of tarantino? Getting a bit tiresome imho. Read More

I went and saw it today at Leicester Square - wasn't keen on it to be honest, as it was a bit to odd...did like the use of the music from Kelly's Heroes though! ;-)

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

Worst film of the year, too slow. Wanted to get up and walk out only cause I'm stubborn I stuck it out. Never seen so many people getting up and walking out of a film

your obviously one of these people that just likes stupid action movies, this movie had a proper good story to it and the tension throughout was brilliant

I am thinking of watching this film. It is really annoying when some posts say loads of people walked out and it is the worst film seen all year, and others say noone walked out, and it was good.....

go see it:S its a really good movie with a typical tarantino story line and some good laughs to lighten the mood

Excellent film, hails back to the Reservoir Dogs style tension building scenes where the action/violent scenes are over very quick. I need to watch it again as there is a running theme throughout the film about feet, the shoes removed from the soldiers, the boot shaped pint glass and the other obvious scenes. The conversations are well scripted and acted with the little attentions to detail making them effective, the 2 parallel story lines fit neatly together, and I agree the soundtrack was well chosen fro many different films, twas coolio.

Good film, one of the best i've seen recently

Was bit gory for me but should have known cos its Tarrantino. His trademark is gratuitous violence. But was funny. I would have prefered to see it on video so I could fast forward on the violent bits. Think its more of a lads film but cinema was full.

I very much agree - I've never checked my watch so often during a film as I thought they dragged it all out far too much. The long dialogue scenes just seemed self indulgent as they make up far too much of the movie, there was just nothing clever about any of it, no smart twists and any plot points were spoon fed to the audience rather than leaving it completely open or leaving subtle hints to let the audience work it out themselves. After sitting through it all I'd hoped for a great ending to make it all worthwhile but even that was a letdown going down a fairly predictable route.

The super sharp video quality felt very out of place for the film as did the music for a WW2 film, in Deathproof Tarantino physically damaged the fillm rather than digitally adding in the defects and I've seen other older films that were shot on 16mm film to make it look more grainy and older.

I 'get it' just fine however it's just I didn't think it was very good, I do like the 'didn't get it' denial excuse though. To be fair to the film they did a superb job using native German and French speakers which I really hope other films follow as this area is normally shocking in many films.

I always make people make my decisions for me, then I have someone else to blame.

Rather than the drink..
