I am looking to do this myself some time but at the minute not sure what to do.

I found a few websites that may come in handy, not sure if you have seen them.

I did look into it before, but gave up in the end. The thread about the guy who cut a apple logo in a laptop inspired me to have another go. Let me know if you do it, thanks for the links

notice, that machine was a dell mini 10, a prime example of a machine that can be hackintosh'd

very few pc's have the right spec for the job, so you need to read the forums of what specs can be done.

#9
which hackintosh distro are you trying? There's loads out there it's just a case of finding one that will work with your H/W i've had success with quite a few in the past, google them and see how you get on:

iAtkos
Kalyway
iDeneb
LeoHazard
Snowywind OSX (designed for the msi wind netbooks but i've had success installing it on acers/asus eee's & others.

just found this

Well, I have a Acer 5738Z and i gave up in installing OS X on that Laptop.

There is no driver at all for the Atheros Wireless, as well as the NVidia Sound (?) that claims to be 888 Realtek.

On top of this for the NVIDIA G105M Graphics I was unable to use any whatsoever Injector, Driver etc.

Without sound, wireless and proper display it is pretty much useless to try to use OS X on these Laptops.

Hackintosh are fun projects.

I did it for my eeebox B202, but one annoying problem is the wireless. It is a hassle.

I ended up just buying a macbook and stuck Windows 7 on that...haha
