I would have thought no, 'cos people could easily doctor it with photo editing stuff.

Some will some wont, it depends on the staff, they shouldnt really but if you print in full colour on high quality paper they probably wont notice.

renew it online then it's obviously not required

He means an actual insurance certificate isnt required to buy car tax online, you input your policy number instead.:)

renew it online with your reference code for tax reminder and voila
#7

cant tax online then, the disc gets sent to the current registered owner which will be whoever had it before, takes a couple of weesk to be updated on the system.

When I renewed my tax on-line I did a print off at the end of the confirmation and put it in my car window so any eager traffic wardens (have been told off by them b4) or police could see it was on it's way.

speak to the guy u bought the car off he should have the number

that should be the quickest solution

maybe not

are the registered keeper of the vehicle and your name, address and any vehicle changes are updated at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency

they would of only sent the log book of today as i bought it last night

You have to go into the Post Office to buy tax or get the previous owner to tax it for you. Taxing online will be sent to wring address, I think it says on the site somewhere, I asked the previous owner to tax it for me before I drove the car home.

I taxed my car on monday using a print out, nothing was said...

Guess it depends on their mood

you can ask your insurance company to fax insurance to them

Thy arent supposed to accept a fax either, you have nothing to lose in taking the print out and trying it, just hand it over and if they query it act dumb and say you didnt realise you couldnt. then try a different post office!:whistling:

Well my original policy is a laser print out from Elephant, so I would try it

I know some companies use special watermarked paper though so it's 50/50.
