depending on your policy you should be covered for any damage caused by the flood, obviously they wont repair your machine, depending on your policies excess it may not be worth claiming

Oh how we all wish to be as perfect as you.

Clearly they are a new member and unsure about using the quote part of messages.

How pathetically friendly of you to just jump on rather than to offer help.

Such a shame people like you are here to set such bad examples to other new members.

Maybe it's you that needs the medical help.

Please feel free to reply or even apologise to rainey4731 because your out of order.

If you have accidental damage then you'd be covered for the flooring. I don't think the washing machine would be covered as it obviously had a defect and I don't think insurance companies cover things for simply breaking.

Don't fudge any insurance claim. Without getting into the debate about raised premiums for us all if you get found out then you shall become uninsurable.

I always thought a claim would be hard and that insurance companies did all they could to pay out the least. My own claim when my house flooded (main cold water pipe under bathroom floor went and turned downstairs into swimming pool) went well. I was completely honest with them and they were more than generous with me.

Good for you raptorcigs with the way you do it. In my experience I don't think I could have saved £5,000 (approx) personally.

Bless you old man. I know it must be hard to reply when your so angry.

Deep breaths, count to 10 and calm down.

I never said anything about giving advice on how to commit insurance fraud.:whistling:

I said it would have been better to have given advice on the quote tool, :oops:tool.

Rather than jump on them by saying "talking to oneself".

Remember calm down, count to 10, read, count to 10 again and then reply.:giggle:

Best advice is to check your insurance policy mate. Policies with various insurers will differ from each other. Some will cover repairs to the washing machine as well as cost of repairing the flooring.

Seems like if you have the right cover, your insurers will pay for repairing the washing machine and the flooring, so long as it is accidental damage. Safe to say it is accidental as it wasnt done intentionally. Also worthwhile checking your excess as it may not even be worth claiming in the first place.
