  Wow thanks for that davver99.
  Sounds like i need to give them a miss!
  I'll use that link and try and have a look at some of the other companies.
  Also, does anyone know if insurance companies do credit checks?

  Im with aviva, and they credit checked me when getting my quotes, to give me the pay monthly figure (with a ridiculous APR). So I would assume they credit check you, but only a 'soft' check, ie not leaving any marks on your credit history.

  AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They good at taking money but their customer service CRAP!!!
  
  Got letter off them recently and they said they had a "audit" and don't have my NCD proof and wanted it and this was after 10 months being with them.
  
  P.S I had sent out the NCD but they probably lost it?
  
  Also wanted another £300 as they said the NCD is less?

  You obviously fit there current criteria, they just quoted me more than double my premium.
  
  Having read the reviews I would probably not insure with them even if they were cheaper than my current insurer.

  I have quoted from them but to be honest anyone you get the best quote from get them to read the details back, and get them to send in writing first. most companies are happy to do this.
  
  go to moneysavingexpert.com and follow the car insurance guide lol you cant go wrong.
  
  also as far as I can remember ins fact are just broker and similar to swinton using other insurers.

  Quoted £1400 online, that went up to £1600 as you can't buy online, then £1800 once I paid the monthly charges on top, cancelled after three months, they'd already taken two months worth of payment plus brokers fee plus three actual monthly payments, total nearing £800, yearly amount for third party only was £1800! But I needed a car for work and that was still the cheapest quote. Got a letter saying I had an ''outstanding balance'' of £374, I disputed this, then they rang me a week later saying please make a payment for £440 for your ''outstanding balance'', I said no I've already paid you over £300 extra if you want a cancellation charge take it from that! But they kept calling it an '' outstanding balance'' not a cancellation charge. I'm going to keep fighting but please, STAY AWAY!!!

  The only way we can stop useless lying scum companies like this is if WE all stop using them .
  Every person i spoke to after EVENTUALLY being able to make contact lied to.me and fobbed me off with excuse after excuse
  STAY AWAY for your own good
  these people have no morals and couldnt give a rats **** about the customer once they take your money .
  They do not deserve to be in business and i will post on every available site to make it known that people need to stay away from these scum!

  i had a quote, I accepted it paid my deposit then got a letter 4 days saying it was going up by £20 more a month than they quote but gave no reason for this when i did finally get in touch the woman on the phone was horrilbe and just fobbed me off with the would send me a letter to explain(which never arrived) then i left it so long to ring them again it wasnt worth cancelling as i was nearly due my 2 free months. will not be renewing and would never use them again
