Try re installing...

Should work!

Not sure, I use firefox with an IE button for changing tabs to IE (only use occasionally for sites that run better on IE)

Im worried about loosing my fav if i reinstall. I transfered them to my laptop and they were in a different order and so could find anything - sad face!

If you download firefox it will transfer your favourites over for you

Thanks for the reassurance. Just had a thought, what would happen if I didn't unistall, and then downlad IX - would it just update what was already there without the risk of loosing everything?

backup your favourites first via EXPORT command

why not just wipe your hdd and reinstall windows. you will be surprised how fast it becomes initially.

Good idea - but - Oh very scared - I'm a 4th year phd student - couldn't bear the consequences of loosing more than 4 years research!

TBH: Teh whole thing is soooooo noisey, it wont play any sound from youtube or most other sites - only thing it will play is from Windows media player! With the tabs situation, when it crashes, it aslo crashes any other IX window that are open - leaving me with a days worth of bits a pieces missing!

Should I buiy a new P.C ?
