Seems snappier than IE7, but I'm sticking with Firefox  Although Chrome is starting to tempt me a little. The harlot.

a big improvement on ie7 and much better for developers too. i think all of the major browsers (i'm including Chrome in this althought its market share is understandably small at present) are really upping the ante and are good products, they just have benefits in different areas imo

i think all of them borrows a lot from ff tbh

I don't like FF either! I use windows 8 on the operating system windows 7 and it's snappy I like it. Some websites such as this have compatibility issues but just run it in compatibility mode, it's good I like it!

agree , ie8 is good so far :)

Which in turn borrowed all of it's features from other browsers.

I don't use IE but my quick glance at IE8 showed that it uses the same interface as IE7 with a couple of extra features and some tweaks underneath. It's neither the next big leap nor has it caught up with the more feature rich browsers but if you like IE7 It should be a worthwhile upgrade.

Yah, my husband says its much better and I have to update the rest of the puters when I get round to it x x

I have reverted back to IE7 from 8 as it seems to crash more often.

All the addons make the possibilities endless

It messed up viewing this site for me, even in compatability mode.
Think it needs a few patches before its any good really.

Yes, it's amazing the many different ways it's add ons make it crash. I'll stick to a browser that has the basic features properly integrated.
