I have an interview tomorrow (first proper interview for about 10 years!!) and Ive just been informed by the recruitment agency that before the interview I will have to take a quick thinking test. Does anyone know what this test may involve?

Why don't you have a think about it and come up with some ideas yourself.

Probably a load of random questions that supposedly tell the company how you'll react in situations. If its an agent thats sent you for the job they want you to get it so give them a call and ask if they have had any feedback on the test from previous candidates and if they know what the questions will be.

Hope that helps

What is one half divided by one quarter?

Would have thought that it will depend very much on what job you are going for.

Could be speed IQ test on maths etc ?

Good luck anyway:thumbsup:

You are given a more or less complicated question and have to answer (mostly verbally) without having time to first sit down and think about the problem.

having worked in a recruitment agency for 10yrs i can recommend calling your agency as they should be doing their best to ensure you get the job, they should of asked the company what you can expect out of the interview and if any other candidates have attended the interview before you, feedback should be passed onto yourself, have you had an interview brief with them, i.e go over scenerio based questions, if you explain to them that asfter 10yrs of not having an interview you need a little help they should do everything they can to assist you - good luck 2morow and one thing i would say is be yourself, and if a question comes up and you havent done the task imagine yourself in the situation and state you have never come across that before however this is how i would react a killer question i like at the end and this is depending on how you feel the interview went and how you got on with the person, but if he/she asks do you have any questions one i would say is do you have any reservations about myself and me doing the job, this way if they have any doubts they can raise them and you can answer them before you leave, giving you the extra opportunity of selling yourself for one last time - fingers crossed for you x
